Notices of Potential Quorum
Occasionally, a majority (or “quorum”) of the members of the Village Council, may meet for a purpose other than a public meeting. For example, the entire Village Council may attend an event such as the Winter Celebration. Such instances are not considered a public meeting and no agenda is required. However, the Village publishes a “Notice of Potential Quorum” to notify the public that a quorum of the Village Council may gather in a single location and to certify that the members of the Village Council will not formulate any official Village business.
